Step 1: Project Interview
Clearly understanding the issues and your concerns helps the estimator review the issues he will bid. He may order a satellite measurement of your roof. He will visually inspect the roof at the time of the appointment with you.

Step 2: Estimate
We complete the interview and inspection. And, get the correct measurements. Then the estimator will use professional software to generate a detailed estimate for your review. We will discuss together any questions you have about it.

Step 3: Job Approval
You agree that working with Raven Roofing is your best option. You sign the estimate, pick a color and make your deposit payment. Raven Roofing then orders all materials needed to do your job right. Many times, your new shingles will be loaded on to your roof by the supplier.

Step 4: Work Commenced
On a date agreed with you, our crews show up and tear off and haul off your old roof. Then the vents are waterproofed, paper laid and shingles installed. We clean up your site. All work is completed in 3 to 5 days.

Step 5: Project Completed
The crew has done their job. You review the job with the Lead crew member or estimator. Everyone is happy! You make the final payment to Raven Roofing and live safely under a new dry roof.

What is the difference between a tear off and a 2nd layer layover?
With a second layer of on your home the newly installed shingles wear out prematurely. You also cannot address the potential trouble areas of your current roofing system if you just “layover” a new set of shingles. A new set of shingles overlayed may cover up poorly installed or failing wall flashing, step flashing, chimney flashing and rotten wood decking also known as sheeting. It may also cover up the fact that you are missing ice and water shield. For a better quality and longer lasting roof the old roof should always be removed before a new one is installed. On lower sloped shingle roofs, the top layer will conform to the bottom layer and then creates cupping. These cups start to hold water and ice on the roof which will leak into the home over time.
